My Passion for Creation

A Christmas present when I was thirteen, Digital Blue was the spark which marked the beginning of my passion for editing. I had no idea then the adventures that editing would take me on.  I began creating short action films in the South Jersey Pine Barrens of my backyard with my friends. I quickly became engrossed in the process and inspired to find the best camera angles and scene frames to combine them into content that touches the audience's hearts and intrigues their minds.

At Rowan University, I dedicated my time to the pursuit of a degree in Radio, TV, and Film and after graduation, took          my first solo step into creating my own content.  My short film “Hacked and Hunted” won the “Best South Jersey Action” award at the 2014 Atlantic City Cinefest.

I have continued to work in the television industry, holding editing positions with a number of programs in Vice (Vice News Tonight), NBC Universal (Behind Closed Doors, Relentless with Kate Snow) and MTV (Guy Code, Girl Code, LadyLike, etc.)  These positions allowed me the opportunity for growth and expansion of my skill set.

Since I have had the chance to explore and learn in many different venues, I don't restrict myself to one genre or editing style and I am happy to adapt to many roles.   My favorite so far has been working as a finishing editor, which I refer to as the “Golden Hour." This is a term which is commonly used in the medical community to refer to the hour in which life saving surgery can occur for critically ill trauma patients in the operating theater. This type of adrenaline is precisely how I feel while working as a finishing editor - where my edits must be quick and precise with last-minute changes, team work and clear communication to bring together the final product. At the end of the day, I love being a part of the team that takes the win with the creation of the finished production.

The joy being part of the team keeps me striving in this profession. No job is too small. The sky has no limit, as does the creativity I am eager to share with you and your team. Let’s create something together.
